Kaizer Chiefs - Volcan Club de Moroni Preview: Amakhosi in the driving seat
Amakhosi head into their preliminary Caf Champions League second-leg tie against Volcan Club de Moroni in Durban with a
healthy 4-0 lead
Kaizer Chiefs will bring their Caf Champions League campaign to the shores of Durban this weekend, with the game against Volcan de Moroni of Comoros set to take place at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.Coach Steve Komphela will go into game under less pressure, taking into consideration the four-goal cushion Chiefs have from the first leg.Since their win in the Comoros Island two weeks ago, Chiefs have however, shown a few signs of vulnerability. They drew 1-1 draw at home against Polokwane City in their most recent game, with the stalemate coming as a serious blow in their quest to retain their league title.Volcan Club don’t have the best of records in Caf competitions, losing twice in the Caf Confederation Cup last year and most recently the 4-0 drubbing of Chiefs. This is their first season in the Caf Champions League after becoming league champions last season.Chiefs have reportedly left Itumeleng Khune, George Lebese and Reneilwe Letsholonyane at home for the game. The 4-0 lead will allow Komphela to tinker with his usual starting line-up ahead of the game against Orlando Pirates, and the likes of Daniel Cardoso and Sula Matovu are expected to get some game time.
